£50k Christmas holiday

Luxury Christmas holiday

Could this be the most decadent Christmas holiday ever?

A luxury travel website is offering one couple the chance to follow Santa around the world in a tour of eight countries to see the planet’s most spectacular Christmas festivities – but only if they have a cool £49,500 to spare.

Highlights include a visit to the Rockefeller Centre’s famous Christmas tree and ice rink in New York, the parade at Walt Disney World in Florida, the lavish lights of Oxford Street in London, the Christmas Lights Fiesta of Medellin in Colombia, and the Marché de Noel in Paris.

Those interested in booking the tour should hurry because the lavish 17-day trip kicks off on December 1st.

Marcel Knobil, 50, founder of tour organiser VeryFirstTo, said: “This has never been done before – it is the ultimate Christmas experience for those who appreciate the finest and brightest decorations across the globe.

“The trip also includes the opportunity to shop at the Christmas markets of Paris and Vienna and, of course, the famous stores of London and New York.”

The wealthy couple who chose to undertake the trip will start their journey in London, taking in the lights of Regent Street, Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus.

They will then be flown to New York city to enjoy the lights of Rockefeller Center before continuing on to Walt Disney World, Orlando, to witness the Christmas parade and festivities.

After that it is off to Medellin, Colombia, which is known for its Christmas Lights Fiesta, an annual celebration which illuminates the night sky.

The couple will then jet back to Europe, where they will be escorted to the Marché de Noel in Paris.

From there they will go to Singapore where they will enjoy music, street performers, and the decorated floats of Orchard Road.

Then the couple will visit the French Riviera to experience opulent Monaco which is lit annually with some of the most spectacular Christmas decorations in the world.

The final stop is Vienna where they will enjoy the lights of St Stephen’s Cathedral, the shops of Graben and the city’s most dazzling light displays. They will also visit the city’s largest Christmas market, an outdoor holiday mart with vendors selling luxurious snacks, treats and stocking fillers.

VeryFirstTo have pledged to donate £1,000 to the Prince’s Trust should a couple come forward to purchase the one-of-a-kind trip. For more information visit VeryFirstTo.com.
