Nottingham Police hack

The website of Nottinghamshire Police appears to have been hacked.

Internet users attempting to access www.nottinghamshire.police.uk are currently (NOV 7 14.49) met with a greeting which reads “KHILAFAH WILL TRANSFORM THE WORLD”.

In Arabic, “Khilafah” means califate – a possible reference to the Islamic State.

The message continues: “Hello United Kingdoom Police.

“Hi Uk Police , where is the security bitchs?

“We are here to punish you ! since you have been suporting israel

“Because we are the voice of Palestine and we will not remain silent !

“Muslims are everywhere – We will enter to Palestine soon :) remember this :D”

The website also plays an audio clip of Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells, made famous by its inclusion in William Friedkin’s 1973 film The Exorcist.

The page appears to be signed with a Twitter handle @An0nGh0st. The account on Twitter, which carries the name DeAtHAn0n, joined the social network in October 2012. It has 13 followers, and is following five. The account’s tweets are protected.

Following the signature, at the bottom of the page, there is a roll-call of other nicknames.

AnonGhost have been described by International Business Times as “pro-Gaza hactivists waging cyberwar on Israel”.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said they were looking into the incident and will soon release a statement.
