A businessman was left ruffled when his scenic shots from the Empire State Building got photobombed not once, but twice by an inquisitive pigeon.
Victor Janhagen, 27, of London, was on a business trip to New York when he decided to visit the famous tourist spot for a bird’s eye view of the Manhattan.
He said: “I had some free time so decided to make the trip. It was really quiet and pretty cold, so there was barely anyone up there.
“I was checking out the view towards the north when a pigeon appeared. He seemed really curious and hung out with me for a while. When I tried to take pictures he ducked in front of the camera.
“The pigeon had an air of confidence. He seemed really cocky. He kept strutting straight up to me as if to say, ‘what do you think you’re doing?’”
Mr Janhagen was taking pictures on his iPhone 6 on the 86th floor observation deck when he came face-to-face with his new feathered friend.
He said: “When I showed the pictures to a friend, he couldn’t stop laughing. I think it’s hilarious too.”
